Beyond Zero Carbon Partnership

The Beyond Zero Carbon Partnership aims to work with organisations and individuals in order to enable them to move towards a more sustainable low carbon future. We work with a diverse range of individuals, communities and organisations and through our links with the sustainable development industry are able to develop partnerships which conceive of, develop and implement robust progressive low carbon strategies.

Beyond…. because we believe in order to tackle climate change in the long run we need to be developing technologies which absorb CO2 from the atmosphere and turn it into valuable durable products.

For example, trees absorb CO2 from the atmosphere, trees can then be separated into natural fibre and resin. The natural fibre and resin can then either be recombined to form a natural fibre composite or possibly carbonised and developed into for example a carbon fibre for use in carbon fibre composites.

This process could remove carbon from the atmosphere and enable the creation of a sustainable forestry business, with jobs in R&D, development and fabrication coming on the back of this innovative approach. This way both the environment is protected (carbon is sequestered into durable products), The economy is expanded (greater value products are produced) and society is benefitted (jobs are created).
